Individual Portrait Commission
Commissioning a figurative painting or portrait can be a highly rewarding process, and I am always delighted to discuss your specific requirements without any obligation.
After establishing your preferences through phone or email communication, we would schedule an initial meeting, typically lasting around 2 to 3 hours. While you are welcome to visit my studio, I often find it more beneficial to meet you in your home or chosen environment. This approach provides me with a better understanding of how to approach the piece and enables us to discuss locations, attire, and any other elements we may wish to incorporate into the composition.
During this meeting, I take reference photos and create sketches. It is also an opportunity for me to get to know the subject, understand their preferences, and address any concerns or special requirements they may have.
Creating a piece in this collaborative manner can be a highly enjoyable and creative experience for both parties involved.
Timescale:
The completion timescales can vary depending on the complexity of the piece and my current commitments. On average, it takes approximately 4-6 months to complete a portrait.
Travel:
I am happy to travel to your location, whether within Germany or internationally. Please note that travel expenses may not be included in the quoted prices. All travel options can be provided upon request.
