Fine art painter and German artist Alexandra Telgmann

My vision

“My art captures the ocean’s beauty and fragility, blending light, movement, and underwater reflections to inspire a deeper connection with our planet and a call to protect its marine life".

Artist Statement Alexandra Telgmann

"Alexandra’s work captures the natural interplay between the female form, marine wildlife, and the element of water. Her paintings reveal the beauty of breath underwater, creating mesmerizing patterns and unveiling hidden worlds not seen in daily life. The ocean, with its calm strength, is a source of inner peace that inspires resilience—whether through the presence of a shark or the serenity of her depictions of figures and wildlife. Each piece invites viewers to pause, breathe, and connect with the ocean’s beauty while inspiring awareness for marine conservation."

Note :

In my ocean-themed art, I aim to highlight our profound connection with water, inspiring viewers to experience serenity and strength while fostering a deeper bond with our planet. In a fast-paced world, it's crucial to pause and reflect. Beneath the surface, the world transforms, revealing mesmerizing patterns that cultivate an appreciation for life's inherent value.

My paintings, especially those featuring marine wildlife and figurative elements, are deeply influenced by water's beauty, power, elegance, and adaptability. By the sea, I am reminded of this resource's immense importance to humanity, finding it a source of inner peace.

I am captivated by water's texture, movement, and the vibrant underwater world, which I capture in my work. To enhance the vibrancy, I often incorporate 24-carat gold leaf to reflect sunlight on the water's surface.

I am particularly fascinated by the beauty of breath and movement underwater, visible in the patterns of bubbles and the graceful, fluid interactions of bodies in water, distinct from those on land.
